The Old Routine

It has been an odd few weeks for us.  Not because we’ve done anything particularly amazing or wierd, but because Monkey & I have stepped away from our normal routine of outings for such a long time.

We normally go to a little cafe on Monday mornings, where we meet up with some post-natal friends & their babies/toddlers.  Last week we were away in London, and the two weeks prior to that, Monkey & I went to try out a French for Fidgets class (which was fab but just too far to travel). 

Although it is nice to do different things sometimes, I enjoy my meet-up sessions and it will be strange once they finish.  I think we are the only family who is intending to home-school, so eventually all the other little ones will be at school.  Still, that is a couple of years away.  I don’t think we’ll be able to meet at the same cafe until then – it is not a big space & people with new babies get priority (understandable as it is a baby group).  We’ll have to see what happens today – probably the park if it continues fine, although being outside means less chance to catch up with the other mums.  Toddlers very inconveniently don’t always stay put!
